$15.00 Summer Sound Meditation and Yoga Nidra
Unwind from your week on Friday evening, July 8 from 6:30pm to 7:45pm, for a sound meditation and yoga nidra experience. The studio will be transformed into a magical little cave as our special guest, Sueann Tupy leads us in a Yoga Nidra practice, or "yogic sleep", where we draw our attention inwards and learn to surf between the states of wakefulness and sleep a place where our body finds its natural state of balance and becomes quiet. Unconscious and conscious aspects of our mind reveal themselves as we fall into an innate state of deep, blissful awareness, at which point we will be taken on a sound journey, experiencing a wide variety of healing sound frequencies created by deep vibrational instruments, such as crystal and metal bowls. The tones and frequencies of these bowls affect us in specific ways, each tone activating a different energy center, chakra and organ system within the body, resulting in a deep sense of relaxation and renewal.
To fully immerse yourself in this experience, please bring with you a bolster or thick pillow/cushion, blanket(s), blocks if you have them and would also recommend comfy socks and an eye pillow. We do have a very limited supply of bolsters (which we cover with pillowcases to launder after use), blankets and blocks which you can borrow on a first come, first served basis.
